Native American Museum at Trees of Mystery - Klamath, California

When Grant went to visit his friend Phil in Oregon a few weeks ago, he stopped in Klamath, California at The Trees of Mystery and visited the End of Trail Museum of Native American artifacts.  The basketry is amazing, but so are the many other things in the exhibits. 

A Trip to Lower Bucks Lake for Grant's Birthday - August 26, 2016

Grant and I went to Lower Bucks Lake to do some evening kayaking for his birthday.  We wanted to stay until the sun went down.  Kristine had baked her dad an apple pie (she makes the best!) and stopped by to give it to him just as we were leaving, so we took a chunk and 2 forks with us to have "birthday pie" later.

The ducks were quite friendly, we saw 2 osprey, and the fish were jumping like mad due to a mist of midges floating just about the water.  It was like being at a show.  All over the lake, fish were hurling themselves out of the water and splashing back down.

We stayed for the last of the sunlight, and by then it was getting chilly, so we ate our pie in the truck after Grant had loaded up, and were grateful for a little heat on the way home.  I need to remember to pack some warm clothes from now on.  Better to have them and not need them.
