Visiting Dana & Leslie in the new home - August 25, 2017

Our cousins, Dana Loomis & Leslie Elliott have bought a house in Blairsden, CA after living for several years in France ad travelling to North Carolina, India, Mexico, and Ohio.  Grant and I visited them on Friday.  They had spent the morning packing up Leslie's apartment in Reno and moving into their new place, so we didn't stay long, but wanted to welcome them to Plumas County.  They are a mere 30 minutes from us, so we are very excited that we'll get to see them more often and have fun together!

The shed and arbor with hops growing over it.

I went out to smoke and explore.  This corral has great potential!

One of two "gates to nowhere".  We figure there used to be fencing

Very cool rustic bird feeder

The other "gate to nowhere" near the bocce/boule court

Another stepping stone.  This one is near the shed and hops arbor

I loved this pottery totem.  Leslie says there used to be a Buddha near it

Another sitting area.  Cool furniture!

As we were saying our goodbyes, Grant spotted this little guy!
