On Saturday, January 21, 2017, I got a ride with my friend Rose and her friend Dale to gather with about 100 folks in front of the Plumas County Courthouse to join our sisters and brothers in D.C. at the Women's March. We marched for many reasons: Diversity, Human Rights, Non-Violence, the Environment, and Women's Health Care Rights. Some came to protest the election of Donald Trump and his administration. Some came for Climate Change. It was a cold, drizzly day, but we were all happy to be together. In fact, over 4 million people gathered world-wide for this "event". It was glorious to see the seas of pink hats and posters!
We marched down to the Quincy Natural Food Co-op and back to the Courthouse where people spoke and shared information on making our voices heard beyond today. Here are some of the photos.
